Andrew Hill BBC Radio Swindon’s “Life-Coach”

Until the recent ending of the long running weekend  (Sat & Sun morning 9-12) “Sandy Martin Show” Andrew was a  monthly contributor at the top of the morning; 9-10 am.

“Working with Andrew was great. We had a bit of a laugh, provided a different prospective on local and national news and events, while at the same time discussing behavioural and emotional difficulties. The spot has proved very popular attracting a large number of responses via phone and e-mail”….Sandy

Prospect Hospice

Andrew Hill, hands over a cheque to Gillian Richardson, fund raising manager at the Prospect Hospice. Andrew commented, " I'd like to say a big thank you to all my clients who came to see me for smoking cessation treatment during the week of National No-Smoking day. Not only have they helped themselves to a happier and healthier life, but they have also helped others in need. I see many people who grew up with parents that had smoked who have sadly passed away prematurely from smoking related diseases. The Prospect Hospice has been here for some of those people and has helped them and their families cope at their time of greatest need. The hospice is a very valuable resource that we as Swindon residents should be extremely grateful for. None of us knows what the future holds for ourselves and our loved ones and it is comforting to know that there is a devoted team of such compassionate people here to help if need be. Contrary to what many people believe the NHS does NOT fund the Hospice; it exists due to the generosity of many individuals and organisations. We as Swindon residents should be proud to have such a wonderful institution here on our doorstep for the benefit of our community, I personally urge you all to see if you can also support the very valuable work of the Hospice".

Winston’s Wish

Andrew Hill, acting as the chairman of the West Swindon Parents Improving Education action group hands over a cheque for £481.67 to Mike Lupton (right) of the national bereaved child and young person support charity, "Winston's Wish". Andrew said," During our long and successful WSPIE campaign that saw a much needed injection of £3m into the expansion of Greendown community school, one of our most active members died unexpectedly leaving a 12 year old son. We subsequently became aware of the very important work of this charity who offer support to young people who have lost a close loved one".

Mark Lupton, communications manager, of Winston's Wish commented, "every hour two children under the age of 18 are bereaved of a parent in the UK. Winston's wish could not support children, young people and their families without this kind of support. This donation will help to make a real difference to their lives, thank you for your generous support".
